Hope for the Mourning is a website administered and maintained by the Micah Wessman Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
The Micah Wessman Foundation was created by Cory and Heather Wessman in 2009 following the sudden death of their oldest son, Micah Wessman. Micah's story can be found here. Following Micah’s death, Cory and Heather became friends with fellow grieving parents Mark and Meg Hintz and Brett and Mandi Peterson. The Wessman, Hintz and Peterson families together administer the Hope for the Mourning ministry.
Hope for the Mourning provides Biblical support and encouragement to parents grieving the death of an infant or young child, regardless of the religious background of the parents. Since the founder families all live in the Twin Cities, our primary geographic area of ministry is in the Twin Cities metro area. However, through ministry partners in other locations, it is our objective to provide Biblical support and encouragement through the ministry to grieving parents in other geographic locations.
If you would like more information about us or our ministry, or to put us in touch with fellow grieving parents, please contact us.
